Problem

When using Avatar via Citrix, the application will sometimes freeze/lock up when trying to paste text from the clipboard that has been copied from Word, Wordpad or Notepad. 

Solution

This issue is caused by a bug in Citrix that has issues with clipboard content. Typically a user is copying content from their local machines (outside of Citrix), and then goes to paste it in the Avatar application which is running on a virtual server. A conflict sometimes occurs and this locks the application, but testing has shown this only occurs when using right-click to paste.

Instead of using the right-click copy and paste method, instead use keyboard commands:
  1. Highlight the text you want to copy, then hit CTRL+C to copy the text to the clipboard
  2. When in Avatar on the text field in which you want to paste, hit CTRL+V to paste the text into the field
