Avatar font displaying small

Problem

Some users have reported the font on Avatar being displayed in very tiny font, making the application difficult/impossible to use. 

Solution

This occurs usually because the user is using Avatar on a device that is displaying in 4k resolution, such as a Surface Pro. Avatar does not optimize for anything beyond 1920x1080 resolutions, so there are no settings within the application to resolve this. Users can use the zoom feature, located on the bottom right to increase the font and fields (but only when within a form), but this feature does not affect the application as a whole and things such as widgets, the chart display, and other functions do not have a setting to increase/decrease font size. 

As Avatar support cannot help with this, this issue should be referred to Tier 2 Help Desk to use display/resolution settings on the machine to see if that helps, but again be aware there is no permanent solution available until such time as Avatar support Java 9 or the application moves away from the Java platform.
