How to add widgets to the Just4Me view in Avatar
The Just4Me view in Avatar is a console view that is meant to be customizable, so staff can tailor this view to best suit their workflow and quickly view information from the available widgets. The view does have a default setup, however, widgets can be removed, added and the layout altered.
To customize this view, you will start from your Home View, which is where you are when first logging into Avatar, and you will want to click on the Just4Me console as shown:
Once the Just4Me view is selected, you will want to click on the Preferences, located towards the top right:
After that, you will want to click on the Widgets tab:
The Widgets tab will show your Just4Me view as it currently looks. Widgets can be removed simply by pressing the “x” on the top right corner of each widget. Note that we advise retaining the Client/Staff widget and the Forms/Data widget as those are needed to look up clients, forms and reports. Also note these changes only affect your layout; fellow staff members will not be affected.
To add a widget, you will want to find the widget you want to add on the left side, and then left-click and drag the widget you’d like out into the layout.
If a newly assigned widget is not showing for selection, you may need to press the “Reload Home View” button to bring it in, as this will refresh the widgets in the Assigned column
As you continue to hold left-click and move the widget around on the view, you will notice black borders will pop up; these are showing where the widget will be and how much space it will take. In the example shown, the “Problems” widget being added will drop onto the Diagnosis widget that is already there, meaning the Diagnosis widget will become smaller.
Once you have dropped the widget down, if you want to change the size of the widget to show more information or to be more prominent, just hover your mouse inbetween widgets and a double arrow icon will show; click and drag it back and forth to manipulate the size of the widget:
When done making changes, click the Apply button towards the bottom left to save your changes. Please note that you may want to log out/log back into Avatar to see the changes take effect:
